Where available, on-site accessibility is available, instead of delivering each process variable signal via long, separate lines to the control room, all are defined by a conveniently approved field multiplexer with short lines to the control room. Data is then delivered via a single communication line to the monitoring area. Multiplexer solutions are available for both commercial intrinsically safe and HART®-compliant transmitters.
